Single split knots:
Single split knots are stronger than single knots but smaller than double split knots. Single split knots are widely used on lace and skin systems.
On a lace system they are usually used at front to offer a natural and gradual hairline. Hair with single split knots has lots of natural lift to it. On skin system they give small and strong knots. Although this knot may not be the neatest knot of them all.
Double Knots:
Double Knots contain a few strands of hair knotted on the system, but instead of looping once they are looped twice. This knot is one of the most durable knots, but it is not the most natural looking. Since the knots are knotted twice with a few hairs, those little pesky dots at the bottom of the base are really apparent. However, the benefit is that it provides systems with much needed volume at the roots and allows much more room for added density. This is why they are found mainly on the back and sides of a system. This knot is used a lot within female systems.
Double split knot:
Double split knots are stronger than single split knots but smaller than double knots, so they are not used on the front areas of systems. Double split knots allow your hair to comb to any direction you like. They are widely used on lace systems are widely used on lace and mono systems.
V-loop knot:
V-loop is a kind of ventilation method which has no knots at all. The hair looks like it’s growing right out of the scalp. V-loop is used in the front of the system for the Hair line to creat the best hairline. The hair direction is good enough for you to comb your hair in any direction.
Many companies use v-loop knots on there systems s its cheaper to make. Here at Tru Hair we do not advice a full system with a v-loop as it is more common to shedding due to it not having a knot in the hair onto the system.
